Huber-Morath's onion (Allium huber-morathii) is native to Central Turkey. It thrives in rocky and stony terrains, often on dry limestone gravel, and is typically found at elevations between 1000 and 2000 meters. The plant's stems reach a height of 10-20 cm, and its cylindrical leaves are generally shorter than the stem. Allium huber-morathii features pink flowers.

The species was first described in the Notes from the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, volume 41, page 247, in 1983 by Fania Weissmann Kollmann, Neriman Özhatay, and Mehmet Koyuncu. It was named in honor of Arthur Huber-Morath, a Swiss botanist associated with the herbarium of the Basler Botanischen Gesellschaft (BAS) and the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh. Huber-Morath focused extensively on the flora of Turkey, conducting 16 expeditions between 1935 and 1969. His collection of approximately 30,000 specimens made a significant contribution to the Flora of Turkey.
